Be well. Work better. Repeat.

Ideas on balancing entrepreneurial drive with wellness, bringing to life new ideas while living well ourselves and making space for what matters in a well balanced life.

My family and I are rolling on vacation the next two weeks. We’re in the midst of packing.
A big question on my mind as we prepare to leave is how much can I really disconnect?
I’m torn on this. Usually I try and disconnect. This time it’s not clear if disconnecting is an option. Some disconnection is. How much is yet to be seen.
There are two main difficulties preventing me from disconnecting.
Work and cash flow are improving. Neither is at a stable-enough point for me to not follow-though on things while I’m gone.
Difficulty #1 - What does “stable-enough” look like?
I’m starting to like the work I do more and more. I feel grateful for this. Much of the work I’m doing doesn’t feel like work. It’s energizing and inspiring.
Difficulty #2 - How to balance the enjoyment of this work with self-care and family time?
So these are the two big questions I’m taking with me.
How about you? How much do you unplug on vacation?

P.S. - I’ve added a podcast page to the blog. The page includes all the episodes I’ve recorded in an easy to listen list.
