Now on to this week’s update…
I’ve been kind of sick since the weekend. I went for a bike ride Saturday, then met my family at the park.
The only clothes I had to wear were those I wore during the ride. That outfit worked when I was working hard on the bike. It didn’t work when I stopped!
I caught a chill. The chill turned into a full-on bug. My body broke down.
I’ve been kind of sick most of the week.
The weekend was only the trigger. The breakdown had been in the works for a while.
Despite trying to Just Roll with It, my tendency is still to push too hard. I was pushing pretty hard up through the weekend.
The weekend trigger pushed my body to force me to slow down. My body had to break down to slow me down.
I started feeling better Wednesday morning. Then I hit the accelerator again. My body broke down again.
It was talking to me. I was ignoring it!
It’s times like this that remind me Just Rolling with It is an ongoing process. It’s a journey, not a joy ride. These times remind me I’m not invincible.
Three years into this journey these reminders are still necessary. I’m feeling grateful to recognize them and receive their message (or at least try…)!
