It’s Friday afternoon. I feel depleted and spent. Writing this will be the last thing I do for the day.
It’s felt like a chaotic week. Not good chaos. Not bad chaos.
Full spectrum chaos :)
I listened to a podcast last night. It put the chaos in perspective for me. In it, Reggie Ray
describes meditation’s purpose.
(The podcast link is in the podcast section of the newsletter.)
He describes meditation’s purpose as “Making room for our chaos.” He goes on to describe chaos as something like “…the full spectrum of our human condition.”
These descriptions connected with me deeply and clearly.
They’ve been my frame of reference for the week. I’ll take it into the weekend.
What’s your definition of chaos?
